Hello! I’m Kate Crowther, a Somerset-based freelance writer, digital editor and copywriter specialising in travel, food and culture.
I’ve run Kateonhertravels.com since 2016, sharing travel stories, opinion and memorable experiences from around the world. Formerly I was a Digital Travel Editor at Ink, the world’s largest travel media agency. I worked globally on all of Ink’s portfolio, including N by Norwegian magazine for Norwegian Airlines, easyJet Traveller, Selamta for Ethiopian Airlines, Vera for Virgin Atlantic, Atlas for Etihad; American Way for American Airlines and Hemispheres for United; SilverKris for Singapore Airlines and Going Places for Malaysia Airlines.
As well as publishing my travel blog each week, I’ve contributed as both a writer and a photographer to a variety of online and print publications including The Sunday Times, where I won the Big Shot photography competition, Time Out London, The Guardian, The Times, silverkris.com for Singapore Airline’s SilverKris Magazine, Magazine N by Norwegian magazine for Norwegian Airlines and Selamta for Ethiopian Airlines. I was also a contributing writer on the book The First World War A-Z, published during my time in press and marketing at Imperial War Museums 2012-2018. Previous to this I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in History of Art with English.
